+ Protospace is a volunteer-run, non-profit makerspace in Calgary, Alberta. We bring together
+ artists, builders, hackers, engineers, and curious people who want to learn, make things, and
+ share what they know.

A place to make things
+

+ Our 6,500-square-foot space includes dedicated areas for woodworking, metalworking, sewing,
+ electronics, laser cutting, 3D printing, machining, welding, and larger projects. Members
+ can use shared tools and workspaces around the clock, with training available for equipment
+ that requires an orientation.
+

Community-powered
+
+
+ Protospace has no owners, employees, or shareholders. The space is run by its members,
+ who volunteer their time to maintain equipment, teach classes, organize events, and keep
+ the community welcoming. Beginners and experienced makers are equally welcome.

+ The best way to get to know Protospace is to come to our open house, every Tuesday from
+ 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, including holidays. Drop in for a tour, meet members, and see what
